An important example of this still very rare NC variety. This is the second finest known and was the discovery coin for the variety, described by Sheldon in the 1954 Anderson-Dupont Collection catalog.
It lustrous orange surfaces resemble a sunset, which Stewart remarked as being one of his favorite aspect about collecting beautiful copper coins. Stewart was a renown sculptor and artist, working out of a studio in New York City & doing commissioned works.
The coin has also been signed by Damstra, adding to its uniqueness and value. Made of silver, this coin is a great addition to any collection. The design of the coin showcases the iconic image of Lady Liberty on one side and a majestic eagle on the other.

The obverse features an eagle soaring through the sky above the Samoan coat of arms. On the reverse, Liberty walks forward with her torch held high while Africa’s Big Five animals are seen in the background.
