The Utah Goldback is part of a growing series of voluntary gold-based currencies that began in Utah in 2019. Utah was the first state to issue official Goldbacks.
The product is a PMG65 Gem EPQ graded 1934 $50 Federal Reserve Note from the Philadelphia LGS. This banknote is considered uncirculated and features a high grade designation. It is a valuable piece of small size note from the United States, certified by PMG. The reverse is more softly toned, exhibiting a refined blend of pearl-silver, olive-gold, plum, and powder blue, with hints of sea-green and amber tucked into the recesses of the wreath. The frost is thick and undisturbed on both sides, and the surfaces remain virtually pristine.
One of only seven graded MS67+ by PCGS, with just one CAC-approved at a higher level. This ranks among the finest known examples of this Philadelphia issue and no doubt visually at the very top. Spectacular eye appeal.
