This piece is rarer than a normal BG-1038 which shows an R.4 Rarity. This piece was most likely made after the Federal Gov’t stepped in to stop Private Territorial Gold from being struck further because of the newly built San Francisco Mint. Privately struck by Mohrig shortly before or after he was arrested by Government Officials sent by the Superintendent of the newly built San Francisco Mint.
